The Logitech Digital Pen

For anyone who writes a lot but also needs their handwritten work to be transferred in a usable format to their computer, there are many new technologies out there to make your life a whole lot easier. Use of a digital tablet will allow you to easily transfer your handwritten work on the tablet to you computer, transferring it to any compatible word processing software as a digitized copy of your work using handwriting recognition software. Depending on your needs, work habits, and budget, a digital pen may be a better investment for your work.

A digital pen is used in conjunction with handwriting recognition software that is stored on your computer as well as special paper that is easily purchased from any local store without having to track it through a specialty distributor. The digital paper used with the pen allows you to handwrite what you need to, allowing you to not change anything about the way that you work and maintain a handwritten copy of your work. The sensors in the pen record up to forty full pages of your work before you have to return to your computer and place your pen in its cradle for download.

There are many different software options for you with the Logitech digital pen. There is one that will allow you to simply upload your work in your own handwriting, creating an exact copy of your handwritten work so that you never have to worry about losing that important document again. Another software option for use with the Logitech digital pen is one that will allow you to not only create an this replica of your handwritten work, but it also translates your handwriting, even your drawings, into digital type, allowing your work to go straight from your handwritten segments to usable digital copy with the click of a single button. This digital copy is downloaded straight to your word processing software either on your Windows enabled PC or your Macbook, so that the copy is easily usable no matter what your operating software is.

The digital pen itself has no display, or other buttons that would distinguish it from your regular ink pens, so the handwritten copy is imperative to knowing precisely what you are recording in the pen. The pen is even usable for edits as long as you use the original page written on the digital paper. The pen is battery powered and will last up to twenty five handwritten pages between charges. It contains a replaceable ink cartridge so that your written work looks exactly the same way that it would if you were writing with a normal everyday pen on paper.

The digital capture paper comes in a variety of types so that you feel the same when writing on the specialized paper that you would when writing on normal lined or unlined pages. The digital imaging in the pen is programmed to capture images written only on the specialized paper, so do not expect to use the pen on normal paper. The digital paper is only a fraction more in cost than a normal ream of notebook paper and it keeps you from having to digitally transcribe all of your handwritten work.
